Clear Gifs (Web Beacons)
The VelociData Site employs a software technology called clear gifs, also known as web beacons. These are tiny graphics with a unique identifier which are embedded invisibly on Web pages (about the size of a period). Clear gifs can be used to follow the online movement of Web users.
